Kannah Creek Brewing Company opened its doors on Tuesday, October 25, 2005. The same year YouTube debuted, the XBOX 360 was released, Mariah Carey ruled the airwaves (yet again) and Bush started his second term. Back then there were just two other breweries in the Grand Valley, when Kannah Creek’s owners decided to remodel the old Prime Cut building that once featured a local landmark called the “big cow”, into a warm inviting brewpub that serves handcrafted brick oven inspired pizzas with six beers on tap brewed on a 7 barrel system.
Twelve years and two new locations later Kannah Creek Brewing Company has established itself in the community not only as a great place to grab a pint and dinner with friends but as a business that supports locals. Monthly Firkin Fundraisers are held at our original brewpub that benefit a different charity every month. Summer months at Edgewater often mean charity concerts or cornhole tournaments at the lawn, and Kannah Creek West often participants in events in Fruita by providing lunch and beer.
